I’m still skeptical to see how this whole health care reform plays out over the next few years, but for now there’s some good news: Assurant Health just announce rate reductions for their CoreMed plan as of January 1, 2011. If you are already insured and switch to CoreMed, the rate decrease is 11.1 percent. If you are not already insured by another carrier, the rate decrease is 4.5 percent.
